Environment Day

Prasiddhi School celebrated the Environment Day on June 5th with great fervor and enthusiasm. Students from Class I to X participated in a special assembly raising the environmental issues as well as positive environmental actions towards it.

The students of grade X presented a mime based on the theme ‘Conflict of two Minds’. The students of grade IX enacted a skit, stating how our future environment would be like in the year 2050. A song was presented by Grade VII and dance movements were performed by students of grade VII and VIII. Students of grade I to IV presented a song in honour of Mother Earth.

The tiny tots of Prasiddhi School were enthralled as they witnessed the Principal  Mrs. Nirmala Kumari planting a sapling in the school premises in the presence of our Pre- Primary In charge Mrs. Latha Sridhar.

The entire day was observed with great fervor and gaiety.

International Yoga Day

International Yoga Day was celebrated by organizing a special Yoga session by Heartfulness Meditation in which students and teachers along with the Principal performed meditation and few asanas . The main aim was to raise awareness and ignite passion for fitness and yoga among the students. In the present day when students face, stress, tension, fear etc. simple asanas and meditation can help dispel their inner darkness.

The Principal emphasized that “Yoga is essential for inner and physical growth. It enhances the mental and physical well being.”  She also motivated the students to make Yoga an important part of their daily routine to stay fit and healthy. Thus she urged the children to practice Yoga which will help to create overall harmony of body and mind.

Students of grade X were given special meditation training to enhance their concentration level as they are facing their board exams. The same exercise is implemented in the class on a daily basis immediately after their class prayer.

Election

The school election was held on 11th June. It provided an opportunity for learning through practice. The prasiddhians learnt that it is the central part of leadership and life skills. The function of prefects is to help the administration and maintain a friendly and orderly atmosphere amongst the students in the school.

Investiture Ceremony

The eagerly awaited ‘Investiture Ceremony’ for the academic session 2018-19 was held on 23.6.18.There was an aura of expectancy as the beaming faces of the selected student council members welcomed the gathering.

The council under the leadership of the head boy and head girl of the school pledged   to uphold the values and high standards of the school. The ceremony began with a colourful and ceremonial procession of school leaders and dignitaries accompanied by house leaders .

The head boy Ankush Raj Urs and the head girl Prerana .V. Jain took the oath, followed by House Captains, Cultural Captains and sports Captains.

Principal decorated the leaders with ceremonial sashes and badges.

Dignitaries congratulated the new leaders and advised them to take up their responsibilities seriously and become balanced and level-headed individuals for the school and society.

Prasiddhi Quiz Time 2018

Prasiddhi School  hosted  Prasiddhi Quiz for the 4th consecutive year on July 6th 2018 (Friday) in the school premises by ‘Pickbrain’ Mr. Giri Balasubramaniam. It is a specially planned, calendar event, for school students around Bangalore-  a platform set to kindle their curiosity to learn more, know more and achieve more.  Around 30 schools from the city took part, out of which the following 8 schools became finalists.

  5. Sri Aurobindo Memorial School – Banashankari

Dhyan Vyas and Vishnu Ram Sampath Kumar of National Public School, Indiranagar emerged as winners after answering the tough buzzer round, followed by Srikara and Siddharth Bhat of St. Paul’s English School, J P Nagar as runners.

Quiz Master Giri Balasubramaniam, Academic Co-ordinator- Mrs. Meenakshi V,   Principal –Mrs. Nirmala Kumari, Pre-Primary Incharge-Mrs. Latha Sridhar presented the rolling trophy to the winning duo. Mr. Giri Balasubramaniam appreciated Prasiddhi School’s initiative in providing a platform for young achievers to kindle their curiosity through Quiz Time.

Parent Orientation

Prasiddhi School organized an Orientation Programme for the parents. Our Principal made the gathering aware of the changing scenario in education, our cultural traits and providing the students a  pleasant learning atmosphere both at home and school. Dr Shobha, an eminent speaker, emphasized upon the pivotal role played by the parents in the upbringing of children and in helping them to tide over the cases and concerns related to childhood and adolescence.

Civic Club Launch

Children’s Movement for Civic Awareness (CMCA) was launched in the school on 4th of Aug 2018. It is an innovative programme designed to foster and nurture active citizenship in children. ‘Children are powerful messengers of change’ is the strong belief of CMCA.

The Children presented a skit ‘Education is everyone’s right’ which conveyed the message and importance of education.

CMCA took an oath to create ripples and awareness through various campaigns, Eco-friendly Ganesha Chaturti , Eco- friendly Deepavali , Traffic Police Day, Democratic Day,    Pourakarmika Day etc.

Water conservation, greening, road safety, waste management, conserving electricity etc. are the agenda of CMCA for the year.

Independence Day

The day commenced by ushering the dignitaries for unfurling the flag followed by March Past. The school choir spread patriotism in the air with a medley of songs. The students of Grade X enacted a skit that highlighted the value of freedom and urged the younger generation to serve in the army. The mass drill displays and the dance performances of the pupils enthralled the audience.

Pre-Primary Sports Day

Pre Primary sports  day was conducted on 1st September (Saturday) 2018 at the school premises. All the children from Playgroup to UKG took part in the event.

All the events were based on community helper’s. Based on the theme children depicted the events, such as Army, Air force, Navy, Postman, Bakers, Garbage Cleaner, Traffic Police to name a new.

Dr. Venkatalakshmi, Prof of Human development of V.H.D college of Home Science and M.S Jyothilakshmi National Athletic preside over the function and gave away the Trophies. She appreciated the Tiny Tot’s March Past and to encourage children in sports field, to develop fitness and to be sportive.

Teachers Day Celebrations

Teachers Day was celebrated on the 5th of September with great enthusiasm. It was a day when the students embodied themselves into the role of teachers to ensure discipline in the school. It was a fun-filled day for the teachers as they witnessed live performance of students from Grade 1 to 10. Taking this day, the students of tenth grade had organised ‘musical chair’ and ‘Treasure Hunt’ competitions and special gifts for the winners were also in store. After the competition, the students danced to retro song and medley of hindi songs and enacted a skit, to keep the teachers entertained. Every teacher was made to feel special.

Sports Day – 2018

The most awaited Annual Sports  was held  with great zeal and excitement.  The children enjoyed playing Volley ball, Futsal, Throw ball, Kho-Kho,Relay, Athletics,Long Jump, Shot put etc. The prize distribution ceremony was organised on 17th of November.The celebrations included flag hoisting lighting of the Olympic torch, march past and the Oath was administered by the sports Captain .Students displayed various events like drill, aerobics etc.

Events were conducted for teachers by Edusports where the winners were given medals.  Tug of war between the houses prevailed and added to the excitement of the day.  The blue house topped the other houses and were declared the winners followed by the yellow house as the runners up.Individual championship was bagged by Bhavya Jain Rathod, Charu Vaishnav M, Ishan L Kanchan, Keerthan Sai and Bhagyashree.S.Pawar.

EK BHARAT SHRESHTA BHARATH

EK BHARAT SHRESHTA BHARATH initiated by the ministry of HRD, to bring unity among the people has been implemented in the school. 22 languages have been taught during the assembly. Each day, Five sentences are being taught in every language with at least two children dressed up in the respective traditional attire.

Global Cultural Cards

 A fantastic initiative from Mr. Charan Kumar the parent of Dhanyatha C. of Class II was greatly encouraged to conduct a workshop on  Artwork in making ‘Cultural  Cards’ to showcase the diverse heritage of culture, festivals and sports of the people of India.

Annual Day

Annual Day is an integral part of our school.  It is an occasion of celebration and felicitation when students present not only their wonderful performances but also receive honors for their curricular and co-curricular achievements. Prasiddhi’s Annual Day was celebrated on December 21st, 2018. Mrs. Padmini Ravi, a renowned dancer and Rajyotsava recipient graced the occasion as the Chief Guest for the Cultural Show MathsyaKanya.

Our Secretary Shri Siddharth Raju welcomed the gathering on the occasion. Principal Madam Nirmala Kumari presented the Annual Report for the year

2018 – 19, The Annual Prize Distribution function was a moment of pride and honor for all the winners and achievers of the school. The students were awarded prizes in the Academic as well as Co-Curricular areas. Toppers of the SSLC 2017 – 18 were also felicitated for their achievements.

Graduation Day

Graduation is the warm memories of the past and great dreams of the future. The graduation day ceremony commemorates the precious moments of the little ones and offers an opportunity to celebrate the culmination of their school years and the beginning of new experiences to come.

UKG

Getting ready for next step… The regular Schooling….

Graduation day was held on Friday, March 8th 2019 for Upper Kinder Garden children at the school premises.

Dr. Gowri Somayaji, Pediatrician, presided over the function and distributed the certificates to the children.  Dr. Gowri has highlighted the importance on healthy and simple food habits. She also shared many tips on effective parenting and interacted with the parents and addressed their queries.

A group of children enacted a skit on the importance of QUALITY TIME  spent by parents with their children.  Children thanked the teachers and chanted Bhagawad Gita shlokas from chapter IV and first part of Vishnu Sahasranama.

Versatile young achiever of Pre-Primary,  M. NabhiaThaskeen narrated a story on HONSETY which was appreciated by all the parents. The programme concluded with the National anthem. Parents and children were served with Tea and refreshment.

 

 

 

 

Graduation Day

“Learning is not attained by chance.  It must be sought  for with ardour and attended to with diligence.”

The  chief guest Dr. Ashok Gopala Krishnan graced the occasion and honoured the students with various awards. He congratulated and blessed all the young graduating students with his motivational speech.

He asked them to rise with pride like the ‘Phoenix from the Ashes’ , to take on the world with Dedication , Honesty and Oneness and to make a dent in the society so that the qualities that the school had embedded onto them, fires up like a wild fire in their belly to conquer all obstacles that come on their way.
