MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL TO PARENTS
-BEATING COVID–19
Greetings from Prasiddhi!
We are in the midst of an unprecedented global health and economic crisis. We shall over-come the present overwhelming situation for sure but that’s not anywhere near. It is a bitter pill essentially to be swallowed for now. Let’s not only learn to gracefully accept the facts and live in the moment but also be prepared to move into a new transformed world. In fact most of us are wonder struck about the way we have adapted to the new changes like staying at home 24/7, balancing between office work and house hold chores, differentiating between necessities and luxuries and so on. We have realized that many things which we believed we can’t do without them have proved us wrong.
Although you are educated about the ways to beat this pandemic, I would like to touch upon a few important points to be borne in mind to manage and gradually defeat this invisible enemy who weighs just one gram yet successful in shaking the whole world disturbing peace.
- Learn the facts about COVID-19 only through UNICEF, WHO and National Health Ministry advisories.
- Don’t panic if any of your near and dear ones happen to fall a prey to the deadly virus. Stay calm and seek medical aid.
- Please keep the school authorities informed, if you face any medical emergency related to COVID-19 since we are concerned about the well – being of our students and their families.
- Install Aarogya Setu App for your safety.
- Practice physical distancing indoor and outdoor but remember to stay connected socially. Keep reminding the family members about hygienic practices, and also enforce them. Brainstorm them about social responsibility.
- Listen to the concerns of the children patiently and respond in a supportive way.
- Create opportunities for children to relax and play.
- Take care of yourself first. Healthy mind can reside only in a healthy body. So, exercise to be healthy and also consume nutritious food to build immunity.
- Plan and use your resources judiciously keeping the emergency crisis in mind.
- Co-ordinate and co-operate with the school authorities, and the teaching staff to adapt to the new normalcy.
- Learning process is a continuous one. Be prepared to facilitate a Virtual Classroom for your child to provide a safe learning environment for now.
This testing time is difficult and challenging for all of us. So, remember to be kind to yourself and to one another. We are meant to go through this phase together as a community.

Teacher’s day celebration
Initially it seemed gloomy as the days were nearing for Teacher’s Day, since the school is shut down due to covid-19 pandemic. It looked like another festival or event that was going to surpass uncelebrated. But the Pupil President came up with a unique idea of celebrating Teacher’s Day on a virtual platform. The 5th of September begin with wishes coming in through virtual means. The 10th grade students took up the responsibility to secretly connect with the students of other classes and prepared them to come up with cultural events. Every child performed from their home and sent their recordings to the head girl, Jhanvi Taparia, who took up the entire responsibility right from the initiation to the culmination of the events. Under her able leadership, the students of grade 10 edited and compiled the entire Cultural Event. Children came up with speeches in Kannada, English and Hindi. They also performed solo and group singing and dancing events. Beautiful handmade greetings were also shared with the teachers.
